Monday’s update contains the data from Friday, Saturday and Sunday, as the government has stopped releasing coronavirus figures on the weekend.
Of the 178 new cases, three were reported on Sunday.
One new death from Covid-19 was reported, leaving the total death toll in the Grand Duchy at 836.
4,805 tests were conducted in total over the last 72 hours, with 248 in the last 24 hours. The positivity rate for yesterday was 1.21%.
There are 16 patients in standard hospital care with confirmed Covid-19 infections, down one from Friday’s update, with three patients in intensive care (down five).
As of today’s update, there are 1,200 active infections in Luxembourg, while 77,159 people have recovered from the virus.
421,682 people have received their first vaccine dose in Luxembourg, while 793,090 doses have been administered in total. 409,576 people have been fully vaccinated as of the latest update.
As of yesterday, the R rate is at 0.99.
