Today’s update contains the data from Friday, Saturday and Sunday as the government has stopped releasing coronavirus figures over the weekend.

6,586 tests were conducted over the last 72 hours, yielding a positive rate of 24.17%. Note: We calculated the number of tests carried out over the weekend based on the graphics on covid19.lu, as the data here was different to that in the daily PDFs. We chose this approach as the data in the PDF from Friday appears to be wrong (the total tests reported was lower than the day previous).

There were 1250 cases reported on Friday, 299 cases on Saturday, and 43 cases on Sunday.

Two new deaths from Covid-19 were reported, bringing the total death toll in the Grand Duchy to 917.

There are 47 patients in standard hospital care with confirmed Covid-19 infections, up 1 from the last update, with 21 patients in intensive care, the same as Friday’s update.

As of today’s update there are 8,447 active infections in Luxembourg, while 95,994 people have recovered from the virus. The R rate was at 1.32 down from 1.53 on Friday.

464,003 people have received their first vaccine dose in Luxembourg, while 1,075,948 doses have been administered in total. 4444,414 people are fully vaccinated. 208,761 people have received an additional booster.
