
As of 31 May 2025, 18,469 people were registered as jobseekers – an increase of 999 individuals, or 5.7%, compared to May last year. The national unemployment rate has now reached 6 percent.
Although the number of newly registered resident jobseekers slightly decreased, with 2,269 people signing up in May (down 1.1% from a year earlier), the overall job market shows signs of strain.
During May, companies reported 2,834 new vacancies to ADEM – a sharp drop of 18.8% compared to May 2024. At the end of the month, ADEM listed 7,205 open positions, down 10.2% year-on-year.
