This brings the unemployment rate in line with pre-pandemic levels recorded in early 2019, before the coronavirus and subsequent restrictions took hold.
At the end of December, 16,403 jobseekers had registered with Adem. In December 2020, this figure was considerably higher, with around 3,500 more jobseekers registered.
