CITA reported an accident involving two cars and a motorbike at the junction between the A1 and A6 motorways just before 4 pm. According to our information, the accident occurred near the national stadium. At least three lanes are blocked on the westbound A6.
Minutes earlier, a collision occurred on the A6 towards the capital.
Surveillance cameras reveal a significant traffic jam building, which extends through the Howald tunnel to the A1 in Kirchberg and on other parts of the Gasperich interchange. CITA also reported a second accident involving multiple vehicles, which likely occurred in the traffic jam formed.
The authorities ask that motorists allow a security lane. More information to come.
