Next week, the 81st UN General Assembly will take place in New York. Grand Duke Guillaume will travel to the United States and deliver a speech on Tuesday, as the Grand Ducal Court has confirmed.

The address will focus on setting out the Grand Duchy's positions and priorities on the international challenges of the day. Deputy Prime Minister and Foreign Minister Xavier Bettel will also make the trip to New York.

While in New York, the Grand Duke will hold talks with UN Secretary-General António Guterres, as well as meeting members of the Luxembourgish community living in the United States. He will also pay a visit to Ground Zero to lay a wreath in memory of the victims of the terrorist attacks carried out there 25 years ago.
