
A motorist travelling towards the Esch-sur-Alzette city centre from the motorway lost control of her vehicle around 9pm, before crashing into another car parked on the side of the road.
Following the impact, the second car was propelled towards a third vehicle, also parked on the road. When tested, the woman was found to be over the limit.
Another vehicle collided with a lamppost in the "Salzhaff" sector in Hollerich at around 1.20 am on Friday morning, breaking the post and causing it to fall on the road.
Officers confiscated the driver's license and towed away her damaged car.
Police officers in Niederanven discovered a car which had crashed in the middle of the road after the driver had fallen asleep behind the wheel.
Eventually, the police succeeded in waking up the driver who had obviously been drinking too much, before withdrawing his license.
