
The minister stressed that elderly care home residents need to abide by the same precautionary and hygiene regulations than the rest of the population.
Cahen added that it is up to the individual care homes to manage the organisation and implementation of safety measures as different care homes are home to very different populations who may be more or less at risk.
Corinne Cahen underlined that elderly people still belong to at-risk groups as they qualify as vulnerable individuals. They now have to learn how to live with the virus, the minister explained.
Cahen also said that can understand the frustration some people might have regarding the ongoing closure of playgrounds in Luxembourg.
She nevertheless stated that she was fairly confident that the state council would decide to reopen playgrounds during their next meeting on Wednesday.
