Weather & TrafficSunday 4 May: The sort of sky that makes you believe in second chances

RTL Today
First, the good news – rain, it seems, has declined its invitation. But, the air has grown modest, and the temperatures will not rise to the heights we’ve come to expect.

If you’ve a gal called Daisy – the sort who laughs like champagne and looks away like she’s just remembered Echternach – you might pass her this meteorological murmur:

The morning air will stir, a delicate 6–8 °C – just enough to make one draw their coat a little closer, not out of necessity, but out of ceremony.

As the day stretches into its brighter hours, the temperature will rise, slowly, as though persuaded by the charm of light cloud – settling somewhere between 13 and 15 °C. The cloud will remain, like a guest at a Gatsby party: unobtrusive, elegant, never quite leaving, never quite arriving.

By nightfall, the temperature will slip back to a polite 9–11 °C – ideal for an evening walk, collar turned up, hands in pockets, lost in half-thoughts.

There may be no fireworks this evening, old sport – but even the lightest cloud deserves applause.

So we beat on, boats against the current of spring.
