
The derogation, which would have expired on 31 December 2021, has therefore been extended for another six months.
This agreement is necessary to avoid a change of social security affiliation when the threshold of 25% provided for in European legislation is exceeded for the workers concerned.
Romain Schneider, the Minister for Social Security, sees the extension of this agreement as a strong gesture of solidarity in the face of the pandemic. He adds that remote working continues to be an effective tool in the fight against Covid-19.
