Statutory assemblies elect 45-year-old Roberto Mendolia for a 5 year term of office on Tuesday evening

Since Roberto Scolati’s resignation at the beginning of 2018, the ALEBA (The Luxembourg Association of Banking and Insurance Employees) has not had a president.

Roberto Mendolia, the only candidate, was elected president at the ALEBA general meeting. He was a staff representative at Clearstream for 15 years. Meanwhile, Laurent Mertz remains ALEBA’s secretary general.

Four delegates represent the union - the largest labour union in the financial sector - in the Chamber of Employees and has retained its union representativity.
