German fintech Riverty SA has officially inaugurated its new Luxembourg entity, Riverty Bank, at RTL City in Kirchberg, after receiving its banking licence from the ECB and the CSSF.

RTL City in Kirchberg has a new tenant. Despite the location, "Riverty Bank" is not a new media outlet but the newly established Luxembourg arm of German fintech Riverty SA. The official inauguration of the new offices, on Boulevard Pierre Frieden, took place on Wednesday afternoon.

A few weeks ago, Riverty Luxembourg received its banking licence from the European Central Bank and the Luxembourg Financial Sector Supervisory Commission (CSSF). The bank operates in a dozen European countries and employs more than 4,000 people, of which around 30 are based in the Grand Duchy. Andreas Barth is the CEO of Riverty, while Oliver Kuhaupt is the designated head of Riverty Bank in Luxembourg
