
According to RTL sources, the following events have been cancelled.

Many of the capital’s Winterlights events have been cancelled, such as the Christmas market and the Knuedler Kleeschen event. However, the city’s festive decorations and lights will still take place.
Esch-sur-Alzette Christmas market, planned from 27 November to 23 December, has also been cancelled. The city has planned a number of small street concerts to take its place.
Strassen council has decided to cancel the following events:
Ettelbruck council has announced that a number of their Christmas events will be cancelled or revised. The Kleeschen parade to the church will not take place; instead, St Nicolas will visit Ettelbruck primary school to distribute treats to the children, as long as this is allowed. The Christmas market has been cancelled.
Mertert Christmas market has also been cancelled, according to the Fräizäitveräin Mäertert-Waasserbëlleg.
Differdange and Dudelange have also cancelled their Christmas festivities.
Wiltz council have confirmed their “Liichtwochen” events, including the Christmas market, will not take place.
The Käerjeng Christmas market, originally planned for 11-13 and 18-20 December, has also been cancelled.
Itzig Music have cancelled their Hämmelsmarsch performance on 7 November.
The municipality of Pétange announced the inauguration of the Centre Culturel zu Rodange on 11 November would no longer be taking place.
Käerjeng Theatre has cancelled the Déckkäpp2020 Soirée on 19 November.
Luxembourg City municipal council has also cancelled a number of events due to restrictive coronavirus measures:
Beaufort’s savings association announced that the Deckkäpp2020 Soirée on 5 November has been cancelled and postponed until 2021.
The group courses of the Luxembourg Association of Oncology Sports Groups have been suspended until further notice as of 26 October 2020.
The 24th edition of the visit of the Auschwitz extermination camp organised by the “Témoins de la 2ième Génération” association, which was scheduled to take place from 29 October to 3 November, was cancelled.
The soirées on the MS Princess Marie-Astrid scheduled for the month of November have all been cancelled. However, it is still possible to book a Sunday cruise on the ship.
The Bishop Council announced that the graves will not be blessed on All-Saints an All-Souls this year. Other blessings, which were scheduled to take place before or after the weekend of the 1 and 2 November, have also been cancelled.
SOS Children’s Villages Luxembourg has cancelled its 3rd International Conference on Trauma Education, which was scheduled to take place on the weekend of 11 and 12 November 2020 in the Neumünster Abbaye. The conference has been postponed to 2021.
The 2020 edition of “Wanterfeeling”, which was supposed to take place near Sanem Castle between 13 and 15 November 2020, has been cancelled.
The municipality of Mamer announced that the “Winter Moments” festivities, scheduled to take place between 27 November and 3 January, have been cancelled.
The winter festival in Roullingen, scheduled to take place on 19 December, has been cancelled.
The Heavy-Patrol concert, scheduled for 30 October at the Kulturfabrik, had to be cancelled. The organisers are currently in talks with the band to find a new date. Previously sold tickets will remain valid for the new date.
The “Merci Charel” concert in the Conservatoire’s auditorium on 30 October at 5 pm has been cancelled.

Steinsel’s brass band “L’Echo de l’Alzette” has cancelled its concert in Heisdorf on 8 November 2020.
The Competition for young soloists, scheduled to take place on 15 November, had to be cancelled. 103 people wanted to participate.
The opening concert of the festivities for the 150th anniversary of Esch-sur-Alzette’s brass band, scheduled to take place on the 27 and 28 November 2020 at the theatre in Esch, has been postponed to 2021.
The “Event-Concert” on 14 November by the brass band from Moutfort-Medingen has been cancelled.
Neumünster Abbaye and Dinosaur have announced that the concert starring the band from the UK on 25 November had to be postponed. Neumünster also stated that their evening programme will be upheld, but with slightly adjusted schedules. All events will now start at 7 pm.
The Luxembourg Table Tennis Federation have announced that the quarter finals of the Coupe de Luxembourg, scheduled to take place on 31 October, have been postponed until December. 19 December has been chosen as a temporary date.
All basketball games have been cancelled until 1 November included.
All volleyball games of the next three game days have been cancelled.
The Luxembourg Football Federation stated on Sunday that the BGL Ligue games of the ninth match day will be postponed. The games in the lower divisions have all been cancelled.
All handball games of the lower divisons and the youth teams have been cancelled as well as the upcoming Axa League games. On Monday, it was also confirmed that the match between Luxembourg’s national team and the team from the USA was cancelled.
The second edition of the Vianden X-perience Trail powered by Securitec will take place on 5 December 2021, instead of 29 November 2020.
The FLD (Bristle Darts Federation) suspends its championship until 5 December 2020.
The Nine-pin bowling federation has cancelled the women and senior tandem championship. The individual championships and all other competitions have also been suspended until further notice.
The Christmas Run in Differdange on 12 December has been cancelled.
The Curling Federation announced that the cup games will be postponed until 12 and 13 December.
Bowling, billiards, cross-country and cyclocross events have all also been postponed or cancelled.
