Housing FundNew director conducted audit on Housing Fund in previous role

RTL Today
The new director of the Housing Fund, Jacques Vandivinit, previously worked for PWC and helped conduct an audit on the Housing Fund in 2015.

As revealed by Minister for Housing Sam Tanson in a response to a parliamentary question, the audit served as the base for the fund's reform in 2017. CSV MP Marc Lies submitted the question concerning Vandivinit's past whilst the former director of the fund, Daniel Miltgen, queried the same issue in an open letter on RTL.lu.

The minister confirmed that Vandivinit conducted the audit as part of a team. The team examined the procedures and the functioning of the Housing Fund. The experience looking into the fund has given the new director a familiarity with the business and the construction of social housing. His experience indeed made him an appealing candidate for the external recruiters, as it meant he would be well-placed to respond to the challenges facing the fund.

The minister also looked back at Vandivinit's work experience, as the new director had been appointed based on his leadership competencies. Currently aged 42, Vandivinit began his career with SES before working in the aviation and telecom sectors and finally joining PWC.

Vandivinit will begin his new appointment on 15 September. The role has been vacant since Eric Rosin resigned after a year. Since Miltgen's forced departure in 2015, three directors have since held the post.
