
The latest figures from the National Institute of Statistics and Economic Studies (STATEC) reveal which companies and groups are the largest employers in Luxembourg.
The data is based on a voluntary survey conducted among businesses and corporate groups headquartered in the Grand Duchy, requiring a minimum workforce of 90 employees as of 1 January 2026. In total, 387 companies across various sectors met these criteria.
Topping the list is the Dussmann Group, best known for its activities in the cleaning sector, which employs 5,340 people - twenty more than Luxembourg’s national railway company, CFL, which comes in second place.
Amazon ranks third with 4,550 employees, followed by two well-established Luxembourg companies: POST, the national postal service, with 4,480 staff, and supermarket chain Cactus, employing 4,340 people.
Among banks, BNP Paribas holds the top spot with 3,880 employees. In the industrial sector, Arcelor employs 5,470 staff, while Goodyear is listed with 3,460 employees.
Completing the top ten are PricewaterhouseCoopers (PwC) in ninth place with 3,330 staff, and cargo airline Cargolux, which has 3,310 employees, according to STATEC. The organisation notes that all figures have been rounded up or down.
