Today’s update contains the data from Friday, Saturday and Sunday as the government has stopped releasing coronavirus figures over the weekend.
There were 2,172 new cases on Friday, 2,244 on Saturday and 134 on Sunday.
11,875 tests were conducted over the last 72 hours, yielding a positive rate of 38.31%.
Four new deaths from Covid-19 were reported, bringing the total death toll in the Grand Duchy to 952.
There are 71 patients in standard hospital care with confirmed Covid-19 infections, up ten from the last update, with 8 patients in intensive care, down two from the last update.
There are 30,762 active infections in Luxembourg, while 126,271 people have recovered from the virus. The R rate is at 0.88, down from 1.01.
According to the the last report, 475,202 people have received their first vaccine dose in Luxembourg, while 1,227,674 doses have been administered in total. 417,931 people have received a second dose. 334,541 people have received an additional booster.
