Data protectionMinistry of Health explains repeated vaccine invite

Residents who had already been vaccinated report they have been invited to get their first jab - again. The Ministry of Health explains the reasons behind a second invite.

Paulette Lenert explained that some people over 75 had even received two letters within a few days: for a first dose but also for a third injection. This action obviously caused a lot of questions and insecurity among the residents.

However, the Ministry of Health adheres to the requirements of the Chamber and data protection, which means there is no official list of unvaccinated people, so invitations are sent to all residents concerned by the vaccination.

Currently, the authorities have three letter campaigns going out across the country: an invitation for the third dose for people over 75, an invitation for unvaccinated people over 60, and an invitation for people who have opted for the single-dose Janssen vaccine to receive a booster dose.

Paulette Lenert admits that these different mailings may cause some doubt in the recipients, but the conditions in force must be respected, as she explained in her answer to a parliamentary question from Pirates MP Sven Clement.
