In the first case, a man was reported to authorities in Luxembourg City for allegedly making death threats against his ex-wife and one of their children. Police tracked the suspect to his apartment and, following instructions from the public prosecutor’s office, arrested him. He was brought before an investigating judge on Friday.
A second incident occurred shortly after 3.15pm near the Ettelbruck marketplace. Police were called to the scene after a man was found seriously injured following a physical altercation between two individuals. The victim was taken to hospital for treatment, while the alleged attacker – who was intoxicated – was taken into custody. His arrest was also ordered by the prosecutor’s office, and he appeared before an investigating judge on Friday.
Investigations into both cases are ongoing.
