Police received reports of a man drunkenly harassing passengers onboard a train from Ettelbruck to Mersch at around 4.30pm. When officers stopped the man at Mersch station, he was found to be heavily intoxicated and in possession of a small amount of drugs. The man underwent medical checks and spent the night in custody.

Two muggers caught after necklace theft

On Thursday evening, a pedestrian was mugged by three individuals on rue de Bonnevoie, Luxembourg City. The perpetrators fled the scene after ripping the victim’s necklace from around his throat; however, police caught two of the suspects some time later. The stolen item could not be located. An investigation was launched into the matter.
