Tradition evolvesMäertchen enters second week as new concept draws crowds

Instead of individual stalls, a large covered area for people to gather has again been set up this year.

The Mäertchen and the Octave are deeply intertwined. In the past, this Catholic festival lasted 8 days. It now spans two weeks. Merchants are, on average, more than satisfied with their sales during the first week. Next Sunday brings both the closing procession and the final day of the Mäertchen on the Knuedler.
