Syvicol (Syndicate of Cities and Communes) has already reacted to the news and set up a meeting with Interior Minister Taina Bofferding on Monday afternoon. Things may become even more troublesome if a second wave should hit in the autumn.
During an RTL interview last week, Bofferding noted that municipalities obtained over several options to balance their annual budgets. The ministry is furthermore determined to support those in need with benefits and investments.
