Today’s update contains the data from Friday, Saturday and Sunday as the government has stopped releasing coronavirus figures over the weekend.
225 cases were reported on Saturday out of 3,695 tests, 186 on Sunday with 2,602 tests and 41 cases on Monday from 624 tests. 6,921 tests were conducted in total over the last 72 hours, yielding a positive rate of 6.53%. The positivity rate for Monday was 6.57%.
Three new deaths from Covid-19 were reported, bringing the total death toll in the Grand Duchy to 852.
There are 37 patients in standard hospital care with confirmed Covid-19 infections, up nine from Friday’s update, with 12 patients in intensive care, down one from Friday.
As of today’s update, there are 2,280 active infections in Luxembourg, while 80,163 people have recovered from the virus.
437,591 people have received their first vaccine dose in Luxembourg, while 845,868 doses have been administered in total. 418,437 people are fully vaccinated.
As of yesterday, the R rate is at 1.11.
