Suspicious mailLuxembourg Regulatory Institute evacuated on Wednesday

RTL Today
At around noon on Wednesday, the Luxembourg Regulatory Institute (ILR) received two envelopes containing a suspicious substance.

For security reasons, the police decided to evacuate the ILR, which is based in Rue du Fossé, and close the street to traffic. Members of the Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) decontaminated three people who had come into touch with the letters on site.

The substance contained in the envelopes was seized, and an investigation was launched. No one was injured.

The street was reopened to traffic shortly after 4pm.
