
Shortly after midnight on Saturday, police received several reports of suspected drug dealing at a premises near Luxembourg City’s main station. A patrol was dispatched immediately, locating a suspicious man at the scene. A second suspect, a woman, was picked up shortly afterwards at a nearby café.
Searches uncovered a small quantity of drugs and cash. Both individuals were arrested on suspicion of drug dealing and brought before an examining magistrate later that morning.
At around 4pm on Saturday, police were called to an e-scooter accident on the Rue de Bonnevoie. Officers found two men with minor injuries at the scene. Initial findings suggested the pair had been riding the scooter together when they lost control and fell.
The Public Prosecutor’s office ordered the vehicle to be seized. Further investigation revealed that its top speed significantly exceeded the legal limit, and a report was drawn up.
Shortly after midnight on Sunday, a patrol stopped a suspicious vehicle and found that the driver was subject to an existing driving ban. A strong smell of alcohol was detected, and a breathalyser test came back positive.
A provisional driving ban was issued on the spot. The vehicle was seized on the orders of the Public Prosecutor’s office, and a report was filed
At around 4.20am on Sunday, security staff at a city club called on police after a male patron refused to comply with the venue’s house rules. Officers found him to be heavily intoxicated, and given that his condition posed a risk to himself and those around him, he was taken into custody following a medical check.
Shortly after 6am, a brawl broke out on a train at the station. Three men were found at the scene; two had come to blows, leaving one with minor injuries. As two of those involved were deemed a threat to public order, both were taken into temporary custody after a medical examination.
Shortly before 8am, police received one further call, this time to the Place de la Gare, where a man was reported to be drunk and aggressive. Officers confirmed this on arrival, and given his uncooperative behaviour, he was also taken into custody.
