Grand Duke Guillaume and Grand Duchess Stéphanie travelled to the Vatican on Friday for an official visit with Pope Leo XIV, accompanied by their children, Prince Charles and Prince François.
Foreign Minister Xavier Bettel was also present with the grand-ducal family for the visit.
The Grand Duke and Xavier Bettel are also due to hold an audience with Archbishop Pietro Parolin, the Pope’s Secretary of State.
The Vatican visit marks the new Grand Duke’s fourth trip abroad, following visits to Belgium, Germany and the Netherlands.
