The Grand Duchess met with beneficiaries of the “Maison Sourrire” service, as well as staff and volunteers. The association offers support to refugees and other people living in precarious situations, with the aim of helping the affected people “integrate and become self-sufficient”.

The service offers language courses, creative and sporting workshops, as well as psychological treatment and activities.

Grand Duchess Stéphanie praised the association’s work and said it was helping “make it possible for everyone to find their place in society.”

The Grand Duchess was accompanied by Family Minister Max Hahn and Esch-sur-Alzette mayor Christian Weis.
