
After reaching record highs two weeks ago, diesel prices in Luxembourg have fallen sharply for a second consecutive week. From Tuesday, a litre of diesel will cost €1.753, reflecting a decrease of 11.9 cents compared to the previous rate. With this latest drop, diesel is now less expensive than SP98 petrol, and is no longer the priciest fuel at the pump.
Petrol prices remain stable: 95 octane petrol is available at €1.721 per litre, and 98 octane petrol (SP98) continues to cost €1.827 per litre.
Heating oil has also become less expensive, with prices for orders of 1,500 litres or more decreasing by 12.3 cents to €1.199 per litre.
