Claude WiselerCOVID-19 measures are disproportionate

RTL Today
In an RTL interview, CSV deputy Wiseler talked about his concerns for the new COVID-19 laws, which are also shared by the State council.

The proposed measures are considered to be disproportionate, since they are limiting personal freedom to a great degree. For instance, fixing the number of people that can be invited to one’s home. According to CSV deputy Claude Wiseler, such severe regulations would not be necessary in light of the current situation.

Both opposition and State’s council are also opposing the controversial enforced hospitalisation procedure. CSV demands that a right for appeal needs to be included in the law, otherwise the party would vote against it.

According to the opposition, the government would be entirely to blame for that, since they had repeatedly put forward unacceptable documents. Nonetheless, Wiseler emphasised that his party was still determined to cooperate with the government to pass the laws in question.
