Galizia will start a traineeship to become a firefighter on 1 March. Until then, the 22-year-old has decided to help out in the contact tracing team. At the moment, he is still learning the ropes so that he can soon contact the people who tested positive for Covid-19 and instruct them about further steps.

Galizia is one of 200 people needed on a daily basis to keep the tracing mechanism running. The team works everyday of the week across two different shifts, and in light of current infection numbers, the telephones are almost ringing without interruption.

Aside from volunteers, army and customs personnel are now also joining the contact tracing centre to help support the team.
