Blue Origin is expanding its presence in Europe with the opening of a new office in Luxembourg, to strengthen its cooperation with the Grand Duchy on innovative space projects, including the OASIS lunar mapping initiative. The announcement was made at the Space Symposium in Colorado Springs, where Economy Minister Lex Delles met with representatives of the company founded by Jeff Bezos.
The new office follows a cooperation agreement signed in June 2025 between the Ministry of the Economy and Blue Origin. It is intended to serve as a strategic European hub and play a central role in the development of the company’s global supply chain.
The move is also expected to deepen collaboration with major partners such as the Luxembourg Space Agency and the European Space Agency, as well as other players in the European space ecosystem.
With this new hub, Blue Origin puts its mark on Europe in a targeted way. According to the ministry’s press release, Luxembourg was selected for its diverse and dynamic space ecosystem and its pool of highly qualified, multilingual talent. This expansion will enable Blue Origin to strengthen its operational capabilities and support its growth in Europe.

A central element of the cooperation is the OASIS project, which seeks to map resources on the Moon from a very low polar orbit.
As part of their cooperation, Blue Origin and Luxembourg are joining forces on the OASIS project, a pioneering mission to map lunar resources from an ultra-low polar orbit. The project aims to identify, with unprecedented precision, the presence of water ice, helium-3, and rare earth elements on the Moon’s surface.
The OASIS project will be implemented jointly by Blue Origin’s Luxembourg office and the company’s Space Resources Center of Excellence, with the support of Luxembourg partners GOMSpace and ESRIC. The data collected will help determine the optimal conditions and sites for future extraction of essential resources to enable sustainable space exploration.
Minister Delles described the opening of Blue Origin’s European office in Luxembourg as a reflection of the dynamism and growing ambition of the space ecosystem, both in Europe and globally.
