The accident occurred early on Tuesday morning on the A1, heading toward Luxembourg from Trier.
It was bedlam (this editor knows well, as was stuck in it) between the Kirchberg exit and the Cents tunnel.
At round 8:30 am, the traffic had congested to a point that it took almost an hour to travel 20 kilometers.
