A car had an accident around 5.45am on the B40 between the Micheville tunnel and the university at Belval. The exact circumstances are unknown, but a collision with an "obstacle" is said to have occurred.
Firefighters from Esch and Sanem-Differdange were on the scene, as was an ambulance from Sanem-Differdange.
One person was injured.
