The police made three arrests in unrelated cases on Tuesday.

Luxembourg police arrested three individuals in separate incidents across the country on Tuesday.

The first arrest occurred on Tuesday after police received reports of two suspicious individuals attempting to sell large quantities of copper to a local merchant. A patrol located the pair at the scene, and as the investigation progressed, officers developed suspicions that the copper was connected to thefts of copper wires. Both individuals were subsequently arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor's office.

Later that evening in Luxembourg City's Gare neighbourhood, a police patrol observed an exchange between two individuals on Rue Joseph Junck. Suspecting a drug transaction, officers intervened and checked both persons. One, suspected of being a dealer, was found in possession of five mobile phones and a quantity of cash. The other individual was found to be carrying cannabis. The alleged dealer was arrested and presented to an examining magistrate on Wednesday morning.

In a separate case stemming from a burglary reported on Rue du Moulin in Kayl on Monday night, police tracked down a suspect found to be in possession of stolen goods. Further investigation revealed that the items were linked to four additional burglaries. The presumed thief was arrested on the orders of the public prosecutor's office and presented to an examining magistrate on Tuesday afternoon.
