The public prosecutor's office has confirmed there will be no criminal charges following the fatal crash on 1 September which killed five people.
Six weeks after the deadly crash between Heiderscheid and Feulen on 1 September, the public prosecutor's office told RTL there would be no criminal charges, as no one who could hypothetically be considered responsible for the accident had survived the collision.
The tragic accident saw five people lose their lives after an Adapto minibus collided with a car on the N15, causing both vehicles to catch fire immediately. It is among one of the mostly deadly road accidents in Luxembourg's history and the worst since 1989.
Among the victims were three young occupants of the car, as well as the minibus driver and an elderly female passenger.
The prosecutor's office said the identities of the five victims were confirmed through DNA tests after the bodies were recovered from the wreckage.
A mobile radar was installed on the N15 following the incident, with authorities considering whether a permanent radar should be installed.
