A serious road accident occurred shortly before 2.30pm this Saturday, when a 30-year-old motorist violently crashed into a tree on rue de Noertzange.

According to police information, the driver died at the scene despite the swift intervention of emergency services.

The public prosecutor’s office ordered the involvement of the Judicial Police’s Measurement and Detection Service, tasked with analyzing the exact circumstances of the accident and determining the causes of the driver’s loss of control.

To allow for clearance and the necessary investigations, the road was closed to traffic for several hours.
