The new school year has begun for 7th-year secondary pupils, with all 54,600 students returning this week across Luxembourg's lycées.

Following yesterday's return for primary schools, today it is the 7th-year classes in secondary education that begin the new school year.

Over the course of the week, all other classes will also resume, bringing the total number of secondary pupils back to around 54,600.

At the Lycée technique du Centre in Limpertsberg alone, nearly 2,150 students are enrolled, making it the largest in the country by numbers.

More than 6,000 teachers are delivering lessons this year.
