The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps attended an emergency operation at the Pontpierre services on the A4 on Friday afternoon.
According to reports, fire fighters were required to inspect a suspicious package or substance at the service station.
The petrol station and motorway remain open to traffic. A small traffic jam developed as a result of commuter traffic and people stopping to observe the emergency services operation.
