A false alarm in an underground parking garage led to the temporary evacuation of several residential buildings in Junglinster on Thursday evening.

On Thursday evening, several residential buildings in Junglinster were evacuated as a precaution after a smoke detector was triggered in the underground parking garage of the "Jongmëtt" neighbourhood.

The alarm sounded at around 8.20pm, prompting emergency measures due to the garage's location beneath three separate buildings. As a precaution, a significant number of residents were directed to gather in Junglinster's town centre and along Rue de la Gare.

Given the potential scale of the incident, additional fire crews were despatched to assist. Alongside the Junglinster fire brigade, teams from surrounding areas arrived on the scene.
