A string of traffic accidents kept Luxembourg's emergency services busy throughout Tuesday evening, as a yellow alert was issued for heavy rainfall.

The Grand Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) responded to a series of road accidents on Tuesday evening, resulting in multiple injuries across the country.

At around 5.20pm, a car overturned on the road between Blaschette and Imbringen, leaving one person injured.

Within minutes, two separate collisions were reported. On the N27 between Lultzhausen and Eisenborn, two cars collided, injuring three people. At around the same time, another two-vehicle collision on Rue de Hobscheid in Steinfort resulted in injuries to three individuals.

Later, at around 5.45pm, a car overturned on the A13 motorway in the direction of Schengen, with one person reported injured.

At around 8.20pm, a motorcyclist was injured in a crash on Rue de la Poste in Belvaux.

The evening concluded with a further incident at 10.50pm, when a car overturned on the N12 at Rollingergrund in the direction of Bridel. An Emergency Medical Assistance Team (SAMU) was despatched to attend to the two injured occupants.

With southern Luxembourg still under yellow alert for rain and flooding, motorists are urged to drive with extra care.
