Luxembourg commemorated National Resistance Day on Sunday, honoring the 23 resistors executed by the SS in 1944.

On Sunday, Luxembourg marked National Resistance Day, remembering the 23 resistors who were executed by the SS in Hinzert, near Trier, on 25 February, 1944.

Minister of Defense Yuriko Backes represented the government at the commemoration ceremony held at Notre-Dame Cemetery, where she delivered a speech in honor of their sacrifice.
