Following the accident in Müden in December, all ships have been able to leave the affected area.
On Friday morning, the last remaining ship stuck on the Moselle was channelled through a specially-made lock. All in all, 72 ships had to be evacuated that way.
The lock in Müden, Germany, has been damaged during a collision caused by a cargo ship. Preparations for the renovations are underway, the repair works are planned to start in the new year. At the end of January, a new gate is supposed to be integrated, in order for regular traffic to pick up again on 1 February 2025.
