The Luxembourgish police carried out three roadside checks on Friday night, and as a result found ten motorists who had been driving under the influence. Two, even, were unable to get back behind the wheel.

Between 11 p.m. and midnight on St. Nicholas' Day, police conducted a series of roadside checks on Boulevard Joseph II in Luxembourg City.

Around 1am, further breathalyser tests were carried out on motorists along Route de Thionville in Alzingen, followed by additional checks on Rue de Bonnevoie in Luxembourg between 3 and 3.45am.

These operations, conducted at the request of the state prosecutor, resulted in 149 breathalyser tests, even without any specific suspicions. Ten drivers tested positive, leading to seven official reports and the immediate suspension of two driving licences.
