Major traffic disruptions are expected at Croix de Cessange this weekend as the National Roads Authority replaces restraint systems along key slip roads.

The National Roads Authority has announced that work to replace restraint systems at Croix de Cessange will take place from 7.30pm on Friday, 22 November, until approximately 11pm on Sunday, 24 November. The project will require several road closures and traffic diversions during this period.

Road Closures

The following slip roads will be closed:

  • The A4 slip road towards Luxembourg City connecting to the A6 towards Luxembourg City.
  • The A4 slip road towards Luxembourg City connecting to the A6 towards Belgium.
  • The A6 slip road towards Luxembourg City connecting to the A4 towards Luxembourg City.

Traffic Diversions

For traffic from the A4 heading towards the A6 (Luxembourg City or Belgium):

  • Vehicles will be rerouted from Croix de Cessange via the A4 towards Luxembourg City, the Merl roundabout, the A4 towards Esch-sur-Alzette, and back to Croix de Cessange.

For traffic from the A6 heading towards the A4 (Luxembourg City):

  • Vehicles will be diverted from Croix de Cessange via the A6 towards Luxembourg City, Croix de Gasperich, the A3 towards Luxembourg City, the Gluck roundabout, the A3 towards France, Croix de Gasperich, the A6 towards Belgium, and back to Croix de Cessange.
