De Lëtzebuerger Jean-Paul Bleser hänkt mat senger Famill zu Dubai fest
RTL spoke to the Luxembourger regarding his experience amid air strikes in the region.

Thousands of tourists are currently stuck in the Gulf region due to air space closures. For many, they do not know when they will be able to board a flight back home. One of these is Luxembourger Jean-Paul Bleser, who travelled to Dubai with his family and now cannot return. On Saturday, the famous luxury hotel, the Burj Al Arab, was hit by air strikes.

RTL spoke to Jean-Paul regarding his experience on Sunday.

“Outside we can hear explosions in the distance, which is quite scary. I won’t forget these sounds in the coming years. You can feel the vibrations whenever they hit, it’s almost as though you can feel the explosions themselves. It’s fascinating yet shocking, and scary because you hear them but can’t see them. We can hear planes circulating above us, but again can’t see them because of the tall buildings. The explosions and the planes are like phantoms. That’s what makes it so unsettling. All we can do is hope that the strikes stay far away from us.”
