
Police report that a man allegedly threatened and assaulted other passengers on a train. After the incident, both the man and the victim got off the train at the station in Bettembourg. When police checked the suspected perpetrator, they secured a jackknife and found that he had already been flagged by the authorities on a previous occasion. The public prosecutor’s office ordered his arrest, and the suspect is set to appear before the examining magistrate on Sunday morning.
At the station in Dommeldange, police were notified on Saturday evening about a man who tried, for no apparent reason, to hold onto a train that was just departing. He fell onto the platform and injured himself. The heavily intoxicated man had to spend the night in custody after receiving treatment at the hospital.
Additionally, on Saturday afternoon, officers were called to Rue du Fort Neipperg following a fight involving several people. According to initial findings, an argument between a man and other individuals escalated into a physical altercation. Another person who had been accompanying the man was injured during the incident. When officers arrived at the scene, the other individuals involved had already fled. The victim suffered stab wounds and was taken to the hospital. Police have launched an investigation.
