As part of a speed check conducted by the police this weekend, several driving licenses were confiscated due to drink driving and speeding.

Three vehicles were caught speeding on the A7 motorway at 209 km/h, 201 km/h, and 211 km/h instead of the permitted 130 km/h between 4 and 6 pm. Their licenses were revoked.

In addition, 15 warnings totalling 145 euros and two points were issued to anyone travelling at over 155 km/h on the same route.

Two further licenses were revoked due to drink driving. In the first case, the driver was caught travelling in zigzags towards Niederdonven, whilst the second driver caused a minor collision with another car on rue de Vianden in Tandel.
