The new organisation allegedly pressured their employees to cancel all contracts with Caritas and sign new ones.

The Independent Luxembourg Trade Union Confederation OGBL has expressed shock concerning the emergency organisation HUT (Hëllef um Terrain) launched by Caritas to take on current employees. The employees were told to dissolve their current contracts with Caritas and sign new ones established by HUT.

However, according to OGBL, this was not the correct process and HUT ought to have been in touch with staff representation. They attest that employees should not be held accountable for what happened with the recent Caritas embezzlement saga, as they also continued to work despite an environment of insecurity.

OGBL now requests to be involved in all further decisions concerning the organisation's transfer. In addition, they also request a position to be kept for staff representation in HUT's administration.
