On Friday afternoon part of the Clervaux bypass reopened, linking Marnach roundabout and Reuler, although the bridge is not yet complete.

According to the Roads and Bridges Administration, the bridge is likely to fully open at the end of the year.

The first stage of construction began on 20 August and concluded on 6 September as steel beams were put in place and a work platform was prepared. The road was shut for the duration of these works to ensure no equipment fell on passing vehicles. It also enabled the work to be completed more quickly.

The platform currently in place will enable workmen to continue the project now that the road has reopened below the bridge. The work surface will be laid in concrete by the end of the month and will serve cyclists and agricultural traffic alike.

The project is expected to cost around 3.3 million euros in total.
