The Luxembourg police reported multiple interventions on Sunday, including a serious traffic accident and the revocation of several driving licences due to drink-driving.

In the afternoon, police responded to a serious accident in Kautenbach, located in northern Luxembourg. A motorcyclist lost control of their vehicle and crashed into a rock. The rider sustained serious injuries and was hospitalised after receiving first aid at the scene. Emergency services, including an Air Rescue helicopter, an ambulance, and two local rescue teams, were despatched to the site.

In separate incidents, police pulled over three motorists for drink-driving.

One driver was spotted zigzagging across the A4 motorway on Sunday evening. Police located the vehicle in a car park in Foetz, where the driver was inspected and subsequently issued a driving ban.

Later that evening, a police patrol stopped two speeding vehicles in Differdange. During the check, one of the drivers was found to have an excessively high blood alcohol level, leading to the revocation of their driving licence.

Finally, on Sunday night, another patrol caught a driver using their phone while driving recklessly near the Irrgarten roundabout in Luxembourg City. The driver was found to be inebriated, and their driving licence was also revoked.
