Throughout Saturday evening, the Grand-Ducal Fire and Rescue Corps (CGDIS) was deployed to three locations all across the Grand Duchy.

At around 10.20pm on Saturday night, a car accident occurred on the A3 between the Bettembourg interchange and Dudelange on the A3, leaving one person injured. An ambulance from Bettembourg and firefighters from Bettembourg and Dudelange were on the scene.

At around 3am, a pedestrian was struck and killed on the Veinerstrooss in Putscheid. An ambulance from Hosingen and Clervaux, firefighters from Putscheid and Hosingen were on the scene treating the man to their best efforts. Emergency medical services and a psychological support unit were also on the scene. Shortly before 9.30am on Sunday morning, the police reported that the injured person did not survive his injuries.

Just a few minutes later, two cars collided in Bissen on the Route de Mersch, leaving three people injured. Ambulances from Mersch and Lintgen, and firefighters from Bissen were on the scene.
